                Our new website and credit card system is up and running, so please make sure you pay your dues.  You now have 3 ways to pay your dues, credit cards, PayPal, and writing a check.  We are only 89 days until you can start using the swim club.   The swim club is currently running a sale, that includes no application fee and $250.00 off any new membership.  Please encourage your family, friends and neighbors to join the swim club   Our best way of advertising, is by word of mouth.   Attached is the sale flyer that you can share.

	Hello, My name is David Gentile and this is embarrassing. I volunteered to take care of this year's election through an online survey. Like you, I am volunteering for all sorts of things for my kids - along with working fulltime – I am busy and trying to do too many things at the same time. In short, I absolutely GOOFED. When creating the email list to send to our current membership so they can select 3 board members for the upcoming vacancies, I absentmindedly clicked ALL contacts. That meant if you ever held a membership or received an email from Wenonah Swim Club you received the election survey. I would like to apologize, take full responsibility for the mistake and most importantly ask you to please only respond if you are an active bond holder and member in good standing with the Wenonah Swim Club. Wenonah Swim Club is holding its first fundraiser for refurbishment of its tennis courts on March 27th at Carolina Blue, and we need your help to make this event a success!

We are seeking contributions for raffles and silent auctions, such as gift certificates to restaurants or stores, sporting event or theater tickets, gift certificates for services, or clothing, sporting goods/ memorabilia and electronics.  We welcome any and all donations!!  

We also are seeking monetary donations, which will go directly to the tennis court repair fund.  We appreciate any and all monetary donations - big or small!  In addition, anyone who makes a monetary donation of $100 or more will be recognized on a sign at the event, and a donation of $250 or more will get you or your business your own sign displayed on the Wenonah Swim Club's tennis courts for the entire 2014 season.

Wenonah Golf Outing May 31st - Golfers, Sponsors and Volunteers Needed!

The 4th Annual Wenonah Swim & Dive Team Golf Outing is just three weeks from this Friday!  Whether you are a club member, team parent, ex-member, local business, contractor for the club, or just wanna join in the fun, YOU ARE INVITED!  And obviously from our 2012 masterpiece performances...you don't need to be a great golfer either.  (It's a best ball scramble.)

The fun happens at the Pitman Golf Club starting at 12:30pm, with a shotgun start at 1.  Productivity level at work on a Friday in May is SO low, you'd be doing yourself AND your coworkers a favor by coming out with them.  Dinner, drinks, and prizes will follow, as will the boastful and certainly fabled course stories!

Please sign up by emailing me or go to the web site for an easy Credit or Debit Card Purchase.  Please indicate in the transaction description field which foursome you are joining.  If you're less than a foursome or alone, that's alright, too.  We'll put you together with others.

OR you can also mail your check to me ASAP at PO Box 204, Wenonah, NJ 08090.  See the attached flyer.

GOLFERS - We need a final count by next Friday, so you need to either get me a check or buy on-line ASAP.

WSC - Wenonah Swim & Dive Team Registrations - THIS SATURDAY!!!!!

(Note: I could use a few volunteers to give me a hand on Saturday from 8:30-12.  Let me know if you can make it.  Even if only for a couple of hours. Thanks.)

Wenonah Swim & Dive Team Registrations will be held this Saturday, May 11th at Holy Trinity Church in Wenonah from 9 am to Noon.  We will be in the meeting room on the left as you enter the building.  The church is located at 11 N. Monroe Ave in Wenonah, but the entrance is on Poplar St.

Registration Fees are $85 for the first swimmer/diver and $80 each for the rest of the clan.  You can prepay online (discounted until May 11th!) at www.wenonahswimclub.com.  Make sure you email me or bring a copy of your registration invoice on Saturday, so I have a record of your payment.  You still need to sign the registration paperwork on May 11th plus, D&Q will be at registrations.  We have a NEW team suit (it is a two year suit) and they will be available.  They will also have discounted suits, equipment, accessories, etc...

Team Swim Caps (any Wenonah style) will be mandatory at meets this year.  Also, we are also offering personalized Team Swim Caps through D&Q.  This will make it much easier to find your swimmer in the crowd at the meets!  The cost will be partially subsidized by the team, so take advantage.  There is a minimum purchase of two caps, but since the caps only have the last name, families can order less than two per swimmer and keep the cost down.  Regular team caps will be available too.

If you can't make it to registrations...
     A)  And your child registered last year, just send in a check or pay online, email me their t-shirt sizes, and I'll have another date soon after registration where you can come to sign the paperwork.
     B)  If this is your child's first year on the team, please send in a check (or pay online) with the attached form filled out.  Don't forget the T-Shirt size and every family should check off at least one volunteer box on the form. I need to have all checks/registrations in by May 20th.

Wenonah Energy - 2012 Swim & Dive Team Golf Outing

Spring is here, the Masters are on TV, and the Wenonah Swim & Dive Team is looking for Golfers and Sponsors for the 3rd Annual Golf Outing at Pitman Golf Course.  Each year has been better than the one before and that trend will continue.  Although it all benefits the kids, we adults need a day on the course as we get ready for another summer swim season.  In addition to golfers, we are in need on sponsors and volunteers.  This is our primary fundraiser for the summer swim and dive season, so I am asking every Wenonah Swim & Dive Team family to help out in one way or another.

Please golf, get friends and family to golf, get a sponsor, donate, or volunteer and help us make this summer a great one for your swimmers and divers!

Hurricane Irene

Good morning Wenonah Swim Club Members,

 

As you know, Hurricane Irene is fast approaching with high winds and heavy rain in the forecast. We are taking steps to secure the Swim Club to minimize any potential damage. As part of that effort, the Swim Club will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, as our furniture and related equipment will be stowed and secured by our staff today.

 

We appreciate your understanding, and wish for all of our members families to remain safe over the weekend. The club will re-open as soon as conditions are safe, and we will keep you posted.

Golf Outing Fundraiser - RESULTS

On behalf of the Wenonah Swim and Dive Team, I would like to thank Dave Rucci, Rud Porter, and Brian Briggs for all their hard work and dedication to this year's golf outing.  Their efforts (along with everyone's generosity and contributions) raised over $4,000 for the Swim and Dive Team.  We will use the money to supplement our coaches salaries, buy the team gifts for the kids, and get some new equipment for both the swim team and the dive team.  This year's outing was amazing and a great time was had by all...except those that left their putt SHORT in front of 30-40 people at the putting contest!  I would also like to thank CJ Sprigman and Connie Han for volunteering their time and energy as well.  Dave and Brian started this event last year and based on this year's success, I'm sure it will become a long lasting Wenonah tradition that benefits our kids for years to come.  Thanks very much guys!

Wenonah Swim Club - New Member Initiative

Dear Wenonah Swim Club Members,

 

On behalf of the Board and Staff of Wenonah Swim Club, we'd like to welcome you to the Summer of 2011! The weather for Memorial Day Weekend was unusually hot, and the pool was packed with members and guests who enjoyed the start of the summer season.

 

As we mentioned in the Wet Gazette, we are continuing to look to expand our membership, and have committed to two incentives to help with our initiative:

 

1. Five Free Guest Passes will be awarded to every member family that refers a new family that joins the swim club. Please ask your friends and family to join, and make sure that they mention your name so that you can receive the Five Free Guest Passes. (Details regarding receiving the free guest passes will be provided when awarded).

 

2. For a limited time, the Bond Payment for new members will be 'pro-rated' if requested by the new member family. The Bond is $350 and is normally paid with the first year membership. In order to help new members to join, a plan is available to pay the Bond Fee in three yearly installments of $120 per year ($360 Total). Please note that full Bond Payment is required within the time period. (Details regarding pro-rated Bond Payment will be provided to prospective member when joining).  

 

Please let your family and friends know what a great place Wenonah Swim Club is and encourage them to join as well. You get a benefit of Five Free Guest Passes, your family and friends get a 'pro-rated' bond payment plan, and everyone can enjoy all of the amenities of the club.
